We ALL have items that we hold onto that take up space in our closets, garages, basements, and attics. Even though we no longer need them, it feels wrong to discard them because they could come in handy "some day". If that some day was many weeks, days, months or even years ago, and you're feeling like it might be time to let them go, we can help.
We’ve created the list below to guide you in finding the best places to donate your household items, in Kingston. By taking your items to the following locations, you'll not only prevent more items from ending up in landfills, but you'll also give your gently-used belongings a second chance to help those in need rather than collecting dust in your closet.

RECYCLING & HAZARDOUS WASTE
KARC Kingston Area Recycling Centre - the perfect place for paper, plastic, glass, cardboard, and hazardous waste (paint, spray cans) & more.
Recycling and donating play vital roles in promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility. They help in reducing waste, conserving resources, and assisting those in need. By recycling, we decrease landfill waste and pollution, while donating allows usable items to have a longer life and supports charitable organizations.Embracing these practices not only benefits the planet but also fosters a sense of community and generosity. Individuals can start by assessing their own consumption habits and seeking ways to minimize waste. Opting for reusable products, and donating unwanted goods can make a significant impact.
Together, we can pave the way for a healthier, more sustainable future for generations to come.
